Massey & Gail was founded in 2008 by Jonathan Massey and Leonard Gail, experienced litigators who set out to build a firm centered on high-stakes advocacy and client-focused execution. From the outset, we have been designed to operate without unnecessary layers, enabling partners to remain directly involved in strategy, briefing, and courtroom advocacy.
Since its founding, we have expanded our capabilities across trial and appellate litigation while maintaining a concentrated focus on complex commercial disputes. With offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., we represent clients in significant matters nationwide.
Many of our attorneys have backgrounds in competitive debate, and we maintain a longstanding commitment to the National Association for Urban Debate Leagues, which expands access to debate programs in underserved schools and helps develop the next generation of advocates.
