Massey & Gail LLP is a litigation boutique focused on complex commercial disputes nationwide. We represent companies and executives in high stakes matters in federal and state courts across the country. Our teams are lean and our lawyers are deeply involved at every stage of a case.
The Work
Associates draft dispositive motions and appellate briefs, take and defend depositions, argue substantive motions, prepare witnesses, and examine at trial. They work directly with clients and opposing counsel. In a small team environment, preparation and judgment matter.
Our lawyers are trained as litigators, not narrow specialists. They handle matters across industries including financial services, health care, retail, transportation, technology, and private equity. The focus is on mastering the record, developing strategy, and advocating effectively.
The Standard
We seek lawyers with strong academic credentials, excellent writing ability, intellectual rigor, and sound judgment. Clerkship experience is valued. Experience at a leading litigation firm is helpful.
Professional Development
Partners work closely with associates on every matter. Over time, associates are expected to take on increasing responsibility in managing cases and advising clients.
Structure and Benefits
Our annual billable expectation is 1,800 hours. We require a minimum of three days per week in the office. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.
