Morgan Meyer
Associate
Morgan Meyer is a commercial litigator who represents clients in complex disputes across federal and state courts. Her experience spans all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Before joining Massey & Gail, Morgan was a litigation associate at Alston & Bird in New York, where she worked on a range of civil and white-collar matters.
Morgan earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was an editor of the Review of Law and Social Change. While at NYU, she completed externships with the Sylvia Rivera Law Project and the Legal Aid Society’s Queens Housing Justice Unit.
Representative Matters
- Represented plaintiffs in a multibillion-dollar breach of contract class action against the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade, including participation in a jury trial.
- Defended an international carrier in a government investigation into alleged cargo handling violations, securing a declination after extensive discovery and a reverse proffer presentation.
- Represented private equity defendants in a multi-jurisdictional civil RICO action seeking millions in damages related to diabetes test strip distribution.
- Defended a breach of contract dispute arising from a real estate investment in the Bahamas, securing dismissal of all claims and a favorable buyout for defendants on the eve of trial.
- Represent the National Association of Realtors in nationwide antitrust class action litigation challenging buyer broker compensation practices, directing defense strategy and joint defense efforts in a case seeking tens of billions of dollars in damages.
